Governor DeSantis has declared a State of Emergency due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Following recommendations by the Florida Department of Health and the CDC, the office of the Seminole County Tax Collector has temporarily discontinued face-to-face transactions to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
TAX PAYMENTS CAN BE DROPPED AT WINTER SPRINGS DRIVE-THRUTHE FOLLOWING IS EFFECTIVE MONDAY, MARCH 23rd
The Department of Revenue Executive Director Jim Zingale issued an emergency order to extend the final due date for property tax payments for the 2019 tax year. Order of Emergency Waiver/Deviation #20-52-DOR-01 applies to all 67 Florida counties. Property tax is normally due by March 31 in the year following the year the taxes are assessed. The Department waives the due date so that payments remitted by April 15, 2020, for the 2019 tax year will be considered timely paid.

Driver licenses and ID cards
|The Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (DHSMV) has issued an emergency order extending the effective period of all driver licenses and identification cards that will expire between March 16, 2020 and April 15, 2020 for 30 days, and also waives the delinquent renewal fee during this period. They have suggested that Floridians traveling out of state print the Executive Order and carry it with their driver license. Seminole County customers in need of a replacement of a current license may call to have a temporary paper permit issued and mailed at no charge.|
|All road testing will be suspended, including previously scheduled appointments. Customers with appointments will be accommodated within 30 days once testing has resumed, between the hours of 8:30 to 3:00 or they may make a new appointment.|
Motor Vehicle Dealers
|We will continue to process dealer work as dropped work ONLY. You may drop the work with a form of payment and we will have it ready to be picked up within 24-72 hours or as quickly as reasonably possible based on staffing needs. Please see the Dealer Services section on our website for the standard dealer process for dropped work as well as acceptable forms of payment.|
