Vessel Titling and Registration

All boats operating on Florida’s public waterways must be titled and registered in accordance with Chapter 328, Florida Statute.

Can be registered for one or two years
The purchaser has 30 days to title and register the new or used vessel
Owner must have proof of purchase date aboard the vessel if operating within the 30-day period
Non-residents must register their out-of-state vessels in Florida if the vessel is used in Florida’s waterways for more than 90 days
Operating an unregistered vessel after 30 days is a second-degree misdemeanor
