Mobile homes, including those owned by nonresidents located in Florida, continuously occupied or not, are subject to Florida registration. Mobile home decals are evidence of payment of registration taxes. The mobile home decal is to be displayed in the lower left corner of the window of the mobile home that is closest to the street or road and provides access to the mobile home.
Real Property Mobile Home is considered real property only when the owner of the mobile home or recreational vehicle-type unit is also the owner of the land on which the mobile home or recreational vehicle-type unit is situated. The owner must obtain a form DR-402 from the Property Appraiser to declare the mobile home or recreational unit as real property.
A certificate of title is proof of ownership to a mobile home or recreational unit in the State of Florida.
