Seminole County Tax Collector Announces Change in Public Operating Hours

Seminole County, FL (April 16, 2025) – The Seminole County Tax Collector’s Office will adjust its public operating hours beginning May 5, 2025, changing from 8:30 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. This change is being implemented in preparation for a statewide rollout of the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles’ new operating system which will impact Motor Vehicle services.

“This 30-minute adjustment applies only to our customer-facing hours,” said Tax Collector J.R. Kroll. “The additional time in the morning will allow our employees to receive hands-on training with the new ORION software, so we can continue delivering the excellent service Seminole County residents expect.”

Customers are encouraged to schedule appointments online. Additional service cut-off times will not be affected by this change.

During the month of March, FLHSMV will be upgrading driver license equipment at select branch offices. Installations will begin at 3:00 pm on the scheduled dates.
Please note that driver’s license services will not be available at the affected branch beginning at 3:00pm on the day of installation. Customers may visit one of our other branch offices for assistance during this time. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding as we work to improve our services.
